First Battle of Kernstown 148th Anniversary Commemoration Tour 9 am morning tour and 1:30 pm afternoon tour At 9am Mr. Ecelbarger will begin his narrated walking tour on the fields of Pritchard’s Farm where the battle began on Sunday, March 23rd, 1862. After a lunch break, the tour will continue on Col. Glass’s Rose Hill Farm where the fiercely fought battle ended. Mr. Ecelbarger’s lively presentation brings the people and events into perspective and is certain to entertain and inform history buffs and the casually interested alike. Mr. Ecelbarger’s books, “We Are In For It” and “Three Days In The Shenandoah” will be available for purchase and personal signing by the author himself. Event is $5.00 for each tour; free to Museum of the Shenandoah Valley members and Kernstown Battlefield Association members. www.kernstownbattle.org Lunch not included.
