Newtown History Center

Discover the history of a 267-year-old town – frontier settlement and growth, wagon industry and craftsmen, and Civil War conflicts. Located in a historic district, enjoy a walking tour and Valley architecture in the quaint town of Stephens City. In addition to the exhibits located in the main museum, there also are interpretive displays in neighboring buildings that discuss the town’s wagon making industry and the architectural history of a late Colonial era structure known locally as the Stone House.
