Civil War History Trolley Tour

This non-stop 22 mile trip will take you on a tour of the battlegrounds of six major battles fought in and around the City of Winchester. Ride through the city and into the countryside where over 140,000 Confederate and Union soldiers met on the area’s battlefields during the four year period of 1861-1865. The remains of many of those brave soldiers are resting in the Mt. Hebron Stonewall Confederate Cemetery and the Winchester National Cemetery. Meet your guide and the trolley at the Winchester-Frederick County Visitors Center, located at 1400 S. Pleasant Valley Road.
