Gardens at Night: Soul Expressions

Motown, funk, and pop favorites from the Soul Expressions band, and admission to the gardens and galleries will highlight Gardens at Night at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley (MSV) on Friday, July 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. In addition, those attending will be able to purchase food, ice cream, beer, hard cider, and wine.
From Richmond, Virginia, the Soul Expressions Band will play a high-energy mix of funk, rock, Motown, and today’s pop hits from 7 to 9 p.m. The band will play songs made famous by Aretha Franklin; Stevie Wonder; The Rolling Stones; KC and The Sunshine Band; UB40; Earth, Wind & Fire; Bruno Mars; and other music greats.
Those attending Gardens at Night at the MSV also may purchase food and drinks at the event. My Buddy’s Nuts, Nooni’s Eats & Sweets, Roaming Bistro, Shaffer’s BBQ, Two Smooth Dudes, and Red Fox Creamery food trucks will be at Gardens at Night. Talk of the Mountain Seafood and Chick-fil-A will also be at the event selling meals.
Throughout the evening, attendees may experience the Museum’s seven-acre gardens and explore the MSV galleries.
The concert will take place on the event lawn in front of the galleries building. All those who plan to listen to the music should bring their own chairs. The concert will take place outdoors rain/shine and attendees should dress for the weather.
