Robert Burns Supper with Winchester Pipes and Drums

January 29 @ 5:00 PM

Burns Night is considered to be Scotland’s “other national day”, alongside St Andrew’s Day in November. Celebrated on the same date each year, the night gives a nod to the life and work of the Scottish poet, Robert Burns. Burns Night is a staple celebration in the Scots calendar, and for good reason. The annual festivities are a welcome excuse for a feast, music, and boasting about Scotland’s cultural contribution to the world.

The first Burns Night was celebrated over 200 years ago, but its popularity has only grown over the years, with traditions passed down from generation to generation.

There will be an “Address to the Haggis,” performance by City of Winchester Pipes and Drums, a world competition piper Dan Lyden, a featured pianist accompanied by several Winchester Pipers playing Highland Cathedral and a Chinese auction featuring local artisans and merchants.

Admission fee $50 per patron/ special pricing for tables. All proceeds directly support the City of Winchester Pipes and Drums band.
