CCAP Benefit Bike Tour

FCPRD, CCAP, and the Winchester Wheelmen are excited to present a ride through the countryside of the Northern Shenandoah Valley. The scenic ride starts in Winchester on the campus of Valley Health at the Wellness Center and rolls through beautiful Frederick County, VA taking in breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and scenic country landscapes. This is a self-paced ride for everyone from the recreational to the serious cyclist.

All routes will start and finish at the VH Wellness Center located at 401 Campus Blvd., Winchester, VA 22601. All proceeds from the bike tour go to the Congregational Community Action Project (CCAP) making it more than just a one-day bike tour but also an inspirational event where each cyclists’ participation has an impact on the Frederick County community and beyond. We hope this becomes one of the premier cycling events in the area providing a lasting experience for all levels of cyclists. Farm to Fork Fondo

Farm to Fork Foundation is an organized bicycle ride where riders get to choose the distance best for them and stop for chef-prepared bites at farms along the way. Its mission is to highlight and support the symbiotic relationship between cyclists, farmers, and beautiful landscapes. The rides promote physical activity in a fun and supportive environment, create achievable challenges for people of all ages and abilities, and result in social good.

The Farm to Fork Fondo rides are held throughout the spring, summer, and fall in eight locations throughout the country.

Some participating locations in Frederick County this year include Belle Grove Plantation (where all routes begin), Marker Miller Orchards and Farm Market, Richards Fruit Market, and Valley Roots Farm.

Vineyard Bike Tour

Join us for a picturesque ride through the countryside around Winchester, with a wine tasting at Valerie Hill Vineyard and Winery.

This will be a fun and relaxing ride. We will ride as a group at about a 12-14 mph pace. The ride length is 30 miles on paved roads, with 20 miles to get to the winery and 10 miles to finish back at Element Sports. We will leave Element Sports at 10:30 am and return about 2 pm. This ride will be guided, and will have a SAG wagon and mechanic on hand. Should you decide to purchase any bottles of wine at the Winery, they will be transported back to the start/finish for you so you won’t have to carry them on the bike.
