Opening of The Trails at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley

One of the most exciting new developments here in Winchester in 2020 is the opening of the Trails at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley. More than three miles of trails for walking, running, and biking through fields, woods, and wetlands will be open year-round, free of charge. It will also feature art exhibitions and sculptures as Virginia’s largest public art park.

The trails will be accessible from a main trailhead at the new MSV entrance, a pedestrian entrance near the Old John Kerr School (future Winchester Public School’s Innovation Center), a pedestrian entrance at the end of Jefferson Street, and a pedestrian entrance on the northeastern corner of the MSV property on Amherst Street (close to the Wellspring building).

Open dawn to dusk.
