Songs Joy: An Afternoon of Christmas Favorites

Please join us for “Songs Joy: An Afternoon of Christmas Favorites” with MiKayla Lynn Hatfield and Amy Bowman 2:30pm on December 12. MiKayla has the opportunity to attend the esteemed program American Institute of Musical Studies in Gratz, Austria in the summer of 2022.

The recital is to serve as a benefit that will aid in MiKayla’s program tuition and travels. Donations welcome, but not required. Join us for a wonderful afternoon filled with Christmas music and Christmas joy!

Holiday Concert with Blue Ridge Singers

Blue Ridge Singers returns to the performance stage this holiday season to present, “The Joy of Waiting” conducted by artistic director, Dr. Jeffrey M. Alban.

The music to be sung will span several centuries: Gregorian chant, a dramatic English Renaissance verse anthem, a Baroque chorus from The Messiah, a 19th century French-Romantic work by César Franck, a setting of the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis from the early twentieth century, along with several contemporary settings of traditional carols, including a Barbershop-style setting of Frosty the Snowman and a Calypso Jingle Bells!

The concert will take place on December 4th at 4pm at the First Baptist Church in Winchester – 205 W. Piccadilly St Winchester, VA. The concert is free of charge. A $15 donation is requested.
