Good Food Lovers Club

Fellowship of the Sip Restaurant and Tea House invites you to its new initiative, the Good Food Lovers and Promoters Club!

The club is a special program that aims to offer good food and beverage to those who love it and love to promote it.

Tickets can be purchased per event ($10) or discounted membership can be obtained.

The club hosts two parties each month, at one of the events we will be serving a full dinner and the second will be a food tasting of a variety of food and drink samples, alongside an additional program during each party, including wine tastings, live music, talks and presentations from chefs, producers and others, as well as lotteries, art exhibitions and more.

We collaborate with good food producers, businesses, shops and other businesses to bring even more special offers to you. The members will also be invited to attend a yearly food fair for free, organized by this initiative, bringing activists of the food scene, like chefs, food producers, experts and educators offering discounts and special offers to the Good Food Lovers and Promoters Club Members.

Root to Table Culinary Series

The 2019 Root to Table Culinary Series wraps up with Chef Erik Foxx-Nettnin of Magnolias at the Mill throwing a fabulous fun event inspired by the art of Virginia Barbacoa. From ice carvings being cut right in front of you to your main course cooked outdoors barbacoa style on an open fire pit, the Night of Fire and Ice is a unique and perfect end to the 2019 Root to Table Culinary Series. This event will also feature a specially brewed beer from Adroit Theory Brewing for the evening as well as a one-off whiskey straight from Catoctin Creek Distillery.

This is a food experience you do not want to miss. Join our restaurant owners, farmers, food artisans and of course, our passionate food friends for an exciting event. The dinner will end with a dessert station and wonderful bluegrass music. The view is spectacular, be prepared for an amazing sunset!

Oyster and Wine Event

Join us for our oyster bar at James Charles!

Chef Cheryl Ashe, the “culinary gangster” extraordinaire of Sweet NOLA’s Southern Food Lounge, will be preparing locally-sourced oysters that you’ll love!

Each ticket includes a half-dozen oysters, and we’ll have the perfect wines available for pairing with these delicious east-coast delicacies available for purchase at the oyster bar.

In fact, oysters are one of the Fabulous Flavors of Virginia, one of those local delicacies that makes our beautiful state such a wonderful place to explore! Just like wine, oysters come in all different flavors and sensations depending on the region, so there’s always more to explore. Click here to learn more about what makes oysters so awesome!

Reservations are required by October 29, and you must be 21 years old or older to participate. Tickets will include a half dozen oysters. This event will go on rain or shine. We are unable to refund tickets for this event. Tickets are $16 per person.

Dinner in Old Town

Why: To raise money for the Sinclair Health Clinic.

“Dinner in Old Town” is a new outdoor event to bring our community to the table. It promises to be an elegant, fun evening, with locally sourced ingredients prepared by Old Town chefs. It’s also a means to give back to our community.

For over three decades, the Dr. Terry Sinclair Health Clinic has delivered low cost, community-based health services to local people in need.

Progressive Dinner – Farm to Table

The George Washington Hotel and Audley Farm invite you to celebrate the culture and culinary heritage of the Shenandoah Valley on Sept. 13th. This dining event will begin at Audley Farm with cocktails and tapas presented by Chef Sandy Gallagher.

Guests will then take a short ride to The George Washington Hotel where “young” George Washington will greet them. Soon to follow will be a five-course meal prepared by the Taste of Blue Ridge Top Chefs. Host Chef Patrick Evans has invited Chef Megan Agregaard to join him that evening to offer their own course.
