Ravenwood Faire is a festival celebrating the Medieval era with jousting, food, performers, vendors, music, and more. We are fun, friendly, and family oriented medieval enthusiasts!

It is October and a cool breeze is in the air. Fall is upon us. The Lord and Lady of Ravenwood invite all to share in a time of celebration as we welcome the new season.
Artisans and craftsman have brought their finest wares for your consideration.
Only the finest food and drink will do for this festival of love and beauty and in that they are well ready with mead, music, and more! Huzzah!!

Winchester Greek Festival

The Annual Winchester Greek Festival will take place on Saturday, August 14th, and Sunday, August 15th, 2021.

Sample our legendary Greek cuisine and experience our renowned Greek music and dance. Truly great fun for the entire family! A large selection of tasty Greek food is available including roasted lamb, gyros, moussaka, pastitsio, and a large variety Greek pastries.

Greek cooking offers an incredibly rich and diverse array of foods that are the culmination of literally thousands of years of good living, cooking, and eating.

While each Greek menu item offered is fresh and inviting, it is also a culinary trip to Greece. Our talented parishioners work for days in advance of the festival creating the delicious Greek food and pastries.

Greek retail vendors will also be set up to display their various items for purchase.

Admission is free and ample free parking is available. The festival will take place rain or shine.

Sunday: 12 pm-8pm*

* We strongly encourage coming early for the best selection of food and pastries!

Willow Moon Farm Greenhouse Grand Opening

Join us for the GRAND OPENING of our greenhouse! We offer Certified Naturally Grown (non-GMO & pesticide free) fruit bushes, vegetables and herbs. We will also have our CNG eggs, dried herbs, preserves along with our skincare + soy candles available for purchase.

There will be our bottle fed baby goats and chicks out for you to see and pet, face paintings, farm tours and we will also have a food truck here for you and the whole family to enjoy.

You will receive a ticket when arriving for a basket giveaway that will include some our farm products along with our skincare & soy candles.

Join the National Park Service with the Shenandoah Astronomical Society for 3 FREE Star Parties

As part of the National Park Service’s “Find Your Park” campaign, these programs encourage visitors to explore Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historical Park in a variety of ways and to discover the night sky in a quiet and peaceful setting.

April 13th at 7:30 p.m.
August 10th at 8:00 p.m. (Perseid Meteor Shower)
October 26th at 6:00 p.m.

Each program will include a short introduction by a park ranger, followed by an astronomical related program given by a member of the SAS. Visitors are welcomed to bring their own telescopes, or use the ones that will be provided by the Shenandoah Astronomical Society.

The star parties will be held at the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation Thoburn Redoubt tract.

Directions to the site:

1. Just south of Middletown, from U.S. Route 11, turn left onto Water Plant Road. Proceed 1 mile to the intersection with Long Meadow Road.
2. Turn right onto Long Meadow Road. Proceed 0.1 mile.
3. Turn right onto Bowman’s Mill Road. Proceed 1.4 miles to Thoburn Redoubt.
4. The Thoburn Tract is marked by a Civil War Trails sign and some Waysides. Turn right into the property.

Olde Towne Halloween Faire

New Halloween event this year! Old Town businesses will be hosting games and treats starting at 4pm. Each participating shop will have a decorated storefront and a game of their own, such as mummy bowling and witches’ hat ring toss. After trick-or-treating, the faire will conclude with the movie “Hocus Pocus” at 7pm in the Taylor Pavilion.
