Magic Lantern Theater presents: Fiddler: A Miracle of Miracles

This documentary (92 minutes; PG-13) details the origins of the beloved Broadway musical Fiddler on The Roof and examines a time in 1960s New York when “tradition” was on the wane as gender roles, sexuality, race relations, and religion were evolving.

A 9-Film Retrospective With Matthew Modine In Person!

A weekend dedicated to highlighting and giving praise to the outstanding career of famed actor Matthew Modine. This 9-film retrospective highlights Modine’s career from the 1980s to the 1990s, and includes some very rare theatrical screens, Q&As with Modine after each event, and the chance to mingle and chat with this iconic figure from November 1st to November 3rd, 2019.

Each screening will require a ticket to participate and seating will be limited. AND THE BAND PLAYED ON is a completely FREE screening, but a ticket will need to be acquired for the screening.

Friday, November 1st

5:45pm: MARRIED TO THE MOB with Q&A: An undercover FBI agent falls in love with a recently widowed mafia wife, who is trying to restart her life following her husband’s murder while being pursued by a libidinous mafia kingpin seeking to claim her for himself. (1988)
