A National Garden Club Standard Flower Show

Stop by the MSV to see this Standard Flower Show presented by the Winchester Council of Garden Clubs. The theme for the flower design
entries is “Alice in Wonderland”, and the show includes 48 individual flower arrangements that will interpret different quotes from the book. Additionally, there will be creative botanical crafts and many cuttings of beautiful spring flowers on display. Participating garden clubs include the Colonial Garden Club, the Glen Burnie Garden Club, and the Hawthorne Garden Club.

Admission to the flower show is free to all. Admission fee applies to visit the MSV galleries, gardens, and Glen Burnie House. Member of National Garden Clubs, Inc. South Atlantic Region

Spectacular 5-State Iris Show

Friday, May 12 at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley – Reception Hall

9-11am Show Entries Accepted:  must be named variety of iris – vases provided

11am-1pm:  Show Judging (not open to the public but you may want to visit the MSV gardens or museum rooms during this time)

1-2:30pm:  Show open to the public for viewing

FallFest at Belle Grove Plantation

When the garden slows down this fall, get a head start on next year with Virginia Cooperative Extension’s Master Gardeners at the FREE FallFest at Belle Grove Plantation on Sunday, September 8, 12-4 p.m.

Sponsored by the Northern Shenandoah Valley Master Gardener Association, this event includes talks from Master Gardeners, as well as demos, crafts, and giveaways–all free to the public and open to all ages.
