Middletown 4th of July Parade and Fireworks

Middletown, Virginia will be holding their annual 4th of July Parade. During the parade we are asking that everyone practices social distancing. Please wear a cloth face covering while keeping 6 feet apart. Wash your hands often, stay home if you are sick.

*Parade will begin at 5pm and Main Street will be shut down shortly before. Parade must be contact-less! No candy or shaking hands or passing out materials. We have cancelled the judges table and announcers table to prevent people from gathering. In addition, craft show, kids games and concerts in the park have been cancelled.
*Food Vendors will be spread throughout town, in addition to Italian Touch, Scoops and Swirls and Shaffer’s BBQ being open, we will also have 4 additional food vendors.
*Handicap Parking only will be in the Park, folks are asked to stay with their vehicles and take their trash with them when they leave and not to wander around the grounds.
*The Middletown Police Department, Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, Stephens City Police Department and Lord Fairfax Community College Police Department will be assisting with the event.
*Social Distancing Signage will be placed around town and people are strongly encouraged to consider spacing and masks.

*Fireworks will begin at roughly 9:15pm and the display will last about 30 minutes. Please be patient exiting town when the display is over. Firework viewing area signs have been placed around town, in addition to being placed on the map.

Live Music and Food Trucks at Marker-Miller

Visit the market for for scenic views, fresh produce, or delicious treats like Apple Cider Donuts, Strawberry slushees, Peach slushees, fresh made fudge, and hand dipped ice cream.

Mark Clay will be performing from 1:00-3:00 in the picnic pavilion and Blue Ridge Bar-B-Q Co. LLC and 3Fires Oven will be at the market serving food.

4th of July Concert – Robbie Limon Band

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED, AS OF JULY 2.

Robbie Limon, local popular musician and his band, will be playing LIVE and in PERSON for a big July 4th Concert at the Family Drive-In Theatre, 5890 Valley Pike, Stephens City, VA 22655.

Opening act will be Michelle Dupwe from 12-2 with Robbie playing 2-5 PM.

Bring lawn chairs, blankets to sit out on the grass or in front of your vehicle. Pop up tents for shade is okay as well.

Independence Day at Valerie Hill Vineyard & Winery

Celebrate Independence at Valerie Hill! On July 4th starting at noon we’ll be serving hamburgers off the grill with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, & cheese. Only $8 – Wine Club members are free! Then at 1:00pm the talented Jimmy Lee performs all your favorite acoustic hits. And of course there will be plenty of Valerie Hill wines and ice cold sangrias.

Fourth of July at James Charles Winery

Join us this Fourth of July as James Charles celebrates Independence Day among the vines!

We will be relaxing with glass in hand to the tunes of Brian Sauerwald while we enjoy gourmet, American classic foods from Roaming Bistro.

No tickets or reservations are required to come out and celebrate. Social distancing measures are in place; Masks are required.

Fireworks Display – Clarke County

Some fireworks displays have been canceled this year in Winchester and Frederick County, but displays will take place in Middletown (July 4) and nearby Clarke County (July 3).

Clarke County’s annual Independence Day fireworks display begins at 9:20 p.m. Friday, July 3, at the Clarke County Ruritan Fairgrounds. Please note the following changes that aim to reduce the spread of COVID-19:

• All spectators are asked to stay in or with their vehicles.
• Visitors may not walk around the fairgrounds.
• Grandstands are closed.
• There will not be a pre-fireworks concert.
• The concession stand is closed.
• Spectators may bring food and beverages. Alcohol is prohibited.
• Spectators are asked to take their trash with them when they leave.
• Spectators may park at D.G. Cooley Elementary School, Clarke County High School, and Chet Hobert Park but must stay in or with their vehicles.
• Exiting the fairgrounds will take time. Be patient.

“Hog Wild in Winchester” – A whimsical play

Winchester Little Theater presents “Hog Wild in Winchester,” a whimscial play about George Washington’s pig law. Written by Sally Anderson. Relive the story of George Washington’s first piece of legislation after being elected to the House of Burgesses.

Free to attend (approx. 15-20 minutes) and free admission to the museum.

Shows at 11am and 2pm.

Fourth of July Open House

Abram’s Delight, George Washington’s Office and Stonewall Jackson’s Headquarters will be open free of charge to celebrate our nation’s birthday. We look forward to your visit!

Fourth of July Celebration and Parade

Middletown’s annual 4th of July Celebration is a hometown, community event that promotes our small town and family atmosphere. All events will be held in the Middletown Community Park, located at the intersection of Senseney Avenue and Second Street.

Food vendors, crafters, kid’s games, rides on the Virginia Giant, softball tournament, cornhole tournament, and of course, live music!
