Christmas Radio Show

BUDDY AND SOOK, presented by Winchester Little Theater

A Holiday Radio Special
Based on two short stories by Truman Capote, adapted and directed by Bill Heavner
Handley Library Auditorium

It is the early years of the Great Depression. Due to difficult circumstances in his immediate family, a young boy is sent to live with a pair of elderly distant cousins. One becomes his first and best friend. Many decades later the mature man Buddy has become, unpacks some of his most precious memories for us. In them we spend time with ten year old Buddy, his best friend, Sook, a bully, or two, and a few other residents of small town 1930’s Alabama. If this were a recipe the generous portion of laughter balanced with a tear or two then layered with injustice and retribution and sprinkled with plenty of smiles would make a wonderful Christmas treat.

All tickets $19.99* (includes dessert reception)
