Discovery Kids 5K

The Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum 5K Run/Walk will take place at the Third Winchester Battlefield. Run or walk through one of the most historic battlefields of the area. A Kids’ Dash will also be held for children under 10 years old. Be sure to check out our Family Zone with lots of healthy living activities, too!

The course is set within the beautiful landscape of the Shenandoah Valley, ranging from an amazing natural canopy of trees to rolling open fields.

Medals will be awarded to the top three runners of each age level (ages 10-70).

A Kids Dash of 100 yards will also be set up for runners age 4-9, with awards going to the top three of each age level (4-5, 6-7, 8-9). A Family Zone nearby will include hands-on activities that encourage healthy living, and a chance to make a pledge as a family to #LiveHealthy!

All of the proceeds will go back to the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum to benefit educational programs, exhibits, and activities.
