BLUE RIDGE SINGERS SPRING 2024 CONCERT

Blue Ridge Singers celebrates its Fifteenth Anniversary Season for 2023-2024 bringing to the community more of the expected choral excellence under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey M. Alban. In his words he describes our spring presentation:

Our program title says it all – ” Let’s Dance!” Audience members might be surprised to see and hear what a choir can do. Exploring tango, swing, African dance, Austrian polka, and “choral” dance, you’ll be sure to be tapping your foot at this concert, as Blue Ridge Singers takes our choral repertoire to a whole new level.

As we close our fifteenth anniversary season, we will join with Dr. Jessica Long as well as our Blue Ridge Chamber Orchestra—featuring a new instrument for everyone, the bandoneon (an Argentine accordion of sorts). Bandoneonist Emmanuel Trifilio will also join us to make this performance of Martín Palmeri’s Misatango as authentic as possible, along with some instrumental additions to the program!
