Cedar Creek Battlefield Museum Grand Opening

Please join us at the Grand Opening of our new museum! Come and see artifacts from the Shenandoah Valley as well as the Battle of Cedar Creek.

General Sheridan and General Early will be there to help us celebrate this important accomplishment. We will also have other famous individuals from the Civil War in attendance for you to mingle with over light refreshments.

While there – please make sure to have Ashley Sonntag (our Operations Manager and Museum Curator) show you the upgraded Sutler space, gift shop and the Heater House vision wall.

Gardens at Night: The Return

Twist and shout with Beatles tribute band The Return, with tight harmonies, flawless renditions of hits from the ’60s, and the magic and charm of the legendary Fab Four. The Return will take you back in time delivering a performance that is the next best thing to the Beatles! Dance under the stars, play family lawn games (6–8 p.m.), and explore the gardens and galleries. Food, beer, and wine will be available for purchase. Seating begins at 5:30 p.m., food/drink stations and galleries & gardens open at 6 p.m., and the music goes from 7–9 p.m. Bring a chair! No outside food/drink permitted. Cash sales preferred. Rain/shine (dress for the weather).

Antique and Modified Car Show

Celebrate summer and fabulous cars at this Antique & Modified Car Show coordinated by the Shenandoah Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America (SRAACA). Enjoy a free car-themed coloring activity in the Carriage House Classroom, too. In the morning, coffee and specialty espresso drinks will be available for purchase from the Espresso Bar & Café and Jordan Springs Market will be onsite offering barbecue in the afternoon.

The car show begins at 10 a.m. in the Glen Burnie Gardens and on the lawn between the Museum and the gardens, sorry no pets; only service animals are permitted. The car show will conclude with an awards ceremony from 2 to 3 p.m.
