Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony

Celebrate the fun and excitement of the holiday season in Old Town Winchester. Bands, floats, and specialty units along with Santa will be coming to see you. Don’t forget the tree lighting ceremony, immediately following the parade.

The Old Town Christmas Parade begins at 7pm and lasts until about 8pm. The parade route is Cameron Street to Piccadilly to left on Braddock St. to left on Cork St. and finish at Loudoun St.

Tree Lighting: Santa will walk down Rouss Avenue to the official Tree Lighting stand to light the tree.

Parking: There is a $5 flat rate fee upon entering any of the parking garages for the Christmas parade.

Street Closures: Cameron St. between Cork and Piccadilly will be closed at 6:00 pm for the line-up. Streets surrounding the pedestrian mall will close at 6:30 pm for the parade

Inclement Weather: The parade will be held on the day scheduled unless there is severe inclement weather. Weather announcements will be made on local radio and cable stations. There is not a cancellation date.

 

Middletown Christmas Parade

Come out and Celebrate the Magic of the Holiday Season with Friends & Family in Historic Middletown, VA on Sunday, December 1, 2019.

The Christmas Parade begins at 2pm with horses, floats, bands and more leading the way for Santa and Mrs. Claus to travel down Main Street. Immediately following the parade we will host Santa with Cookies at Middletown Volunteer Fire & Rescue. Whether you have a little one with a Christmas list or just want to take a selfie with the jolly elf – this FREE event is open to all. Bring your cameras and your sweet tooth. We will once again have coloring pages to keep the kids entertained and a photo booth for both young and old to enjoy.

Come early to get a great spot for watching the parade and while you are in town explore the local shops and restaurants.

 

 

Fourth of July Celebration and Parade

Middletown’s annual 4th of July Celebration is a hometown, community event that promotes our small town and family atmosphere. All events will be held in the Middletown Community Park, located at the intersection of Senseney Avenue and Second Street.

Food vendors, crafters, kid’s games, rides on the Virginia Giant, softball tournament, cornhole tournament, and of course, live music!

In the event of inclement weather, the fireworks will be rescheduled.

Newtown Heritage Festival

This free family festival includes a parade, food vendors, kids activities, live entertainment, fireworks, and more. Walk into history and learn about the early days of Stephens City as you visit the Stone House Foundation Museums – the Transportation Exhibit at the Stephens City Schoolhouse, Newtown Tavern, Argenbright House & Shed, Stone House, and Steele & Brother Store (all on Main Street).

The event takes place up and down Main Street from Newtown Commons to the Old School grounds. (5165 through 5516 Main Street)

On Friday, enjoy music performances by Crosswinds and Souled Out.

Parade starts at 2:00pm on Saturday, May 25th and features the Sherando High School Marching Band, emergency vehicles, veteran groups and many many more! Don’t forget to stick around for one of the best fireworks displays in the Valley at dusk. We hope to see you there!
