The AIMS and Water St. Financial Cornhole Tournament to benefit FROG/Froggy’s Closet will be held at Richard’s Fruit Market, 6410 Middle Road. Admission is free but donations accepted.
This event will assist the non-profit in Winchester that helps children in need.
The main event is a double elimination cornhole tournament with prizes for first, second, and third places. Twenty teams (spots still available at $50 per team) will compete. Teams must be present to register at 11 a.m., and competition begins at noon.
Prizes include the following: first place, custom-made professional cornhole boards; second place, $100 gift certificate to Piccadilly Public House and Restaurant, and third place, $75 gift certificate to Village Square.
Live music by Rob Talton will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and by Bryan Stutzman from 2:30 to 5 p.m.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be sold, plus various types of sliders, fried green tomatoes, chips, desserts, and more. Beer and wine will be for sale by the glass for onsite consumption. Other events include face painting for the kids from noon to 2:30 p.m., kiddy cornhole and prizes, animals, playground, and 50/50 raffle.
Richard’s Fruit Market will be open for sales of fruits, veggies, meat, ciders, jams, sauces, salsas, shakes, sweets, gifts and flowers, wine tastings.
In addition, there will be a FROG information booth for people wishing to learn more about the non-profit and volunteer. Tickets will be sold for the Abnormal Formal “Under the Sea” on September 11 to benefit the non-profit.
