Presented with Handley Library’s Stewart Bell Jr. Archives, Heritage Day includes information tables hosted by historical societies and research organizations and free lectures. At 10:30 a.m., National Park Service Art Conservator Fran Ritchie will discuss storing, displaying, and preserving family heirlooms. At 1:30 p.m., genealogist Joan Wood will present Beginning Genealogy: A Five-Step Program. The day will also include free drawings for prizes generously provided by Ancestry.com.
Heritage Day activities are free to all. Lecture seating is first-come, first-served. Tickets available beginning at 10 a.m. on the day of the event. Lunch will be available for purchase. MSV admission fee applies to visit the galleries.
