selection for Winchester and Frederick and Clarke counties is Beth Macy’s “Factory Man.” The main subject of her book
One Book One Community and the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Winchester will welcome author and entrepreneur John D. Bassett III of Bassett Furniture for a conversation on the recent best-seller FACTORY MAN as well as his new book MAKING IT IN AMERICA: A 12-POINT PLAN FOR GROWING YOUR BUSINESS AND KEEPING JOBS AT HOME.
JOHN D. BASSETT III is a third-generation factory man who went up against the global market to save his family furniture business. He now employs hundreds of people at Vaughan-Bassett furniture.
Mr. Bassett’s book will be available for purchase.
