Our Winchester Tourism Ambassador program was established in early 2018. It highlights those businesses and individuals who proudly represent our area to visitors.
Local Tourism Ambassadors (LTAs) have been through the official Winchester-Frederick County CVB training and passed a certification test. This training includes industry know-how, local attraction and business asset awareness, and targeted customer service training.
About the training
- Includes a 2-hour classroom session, followed by test,
- The program is free and is open to front line employees, managers, owners, volunteers, and residents who work or live in the Winchester-Frederick County area and interact with tourists,
- Successful candidates receive an official certificate of completion and a window cling for their business/attraction,
- Successful candidates also receive an attraction pass good for 8 local attractions.
- Benefits also include access to a closed Facebook group and advance knowledge of local volunteer opportunities.
The next available training will be held in late April, 2020. Details will be available soon.
