This spring welcomes the return of KidzFest in Old Town Winchester, Newtown Heritage Festival in Stephens City, and Of Ale and History Beer Festival at Belle Grove Plantation.

Old Town Winchester History Tours

Guided Walking Tours Return in 2022

Experience 275 years of history on a guided walking tour! These tours are given by experienced and knowledgeable guides that enjoy sharing their love of local history.

Make your reservation by calling the Visitor Center at 540-542-1326. Cost: $10, payable to the guide, cash only. Tours are canceled in the event of rain.

Meet at 2 N. Cameron Street (the corner of Cameron and Boscawen Street, Winchester, Virginia)

Tours are offered May – October

1st and 3rd Fridays at 6pm

2nd and 4th Sundays at 4pm

Origami in the Garden

Exhibition Opening May 28

Rising Cranes, 2015, by Kevin Box, ORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN

A new exhibition at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, ORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN tells the story of origami, the Japanese art form involving folding paper. ORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN includes a collection of 11 metal sculptures throughout the Glen Burnie Gardens and Inside Out, a display in the Glen Burnie House of paper origami models shown alongside unfolded cast metal wall hangings.

ORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN is created by Santa Fe artists Jennifer and Kevin Box in collaboration with Robert J. Lang, Te Jui Fu, Michael G. LaFosse, and Beth Johnson. The exhibition will be on display through November 13.
