West Oaks Winter Heat Chili Cook-Off

Come out and enjoy the day filled with local acoustic musicians and watch cooks prepare their best bowl of chili in hopes of getting a spot to compete at the World Championship Chili Cook-off. The event will benefit Camp Hope, a grief support camp offered free of charge to youth in our area.

For an entry fee, you will be able to sample a variety of homestyle, verde and traditional red chilis prepared by competing cooks.
Market opens at 10am; chili samples and performances from 11-4 with awards at 5pm.

Four Prizes will be awarded:
1) Judge’s Award For Best Chili in Winchester Professional Chefs: based on votes from our very prestigious and hand-selected chili judges. Champion gets $50 donated in name of winner to Winchester Area NAACP, lots of town pride, a sweet trophy and other surprises!

2) Judge’s Award for Best Chili in Winchester Amateur Chefs: Same as Professional!

3) People’s Choice Award Professional Chefs: based on votes from the public. Champion gets $50 donation in name of winner to Winchester Area NAACP, town pride, a sweet trophy and other surprises!

4) People’s Choice Award Amateur Chef: Same as Professional!

LIKE EATING CHILI BUT NOT COMPETING? We got you. ALL entries (professional and amateur) will be available to the public for judging. A suggested donation for participating in the People’s Choice judging is $10. Bowls of chili (from professional entries ONLY) will be available for a suggested donation of $5.
